Good reasons to write#

• You found an error in a piece. Please include enough detail — the article, the figure, and the correct number with its source — that we can verify and fix it.
• You have data that contradicts something we've published.
• You want to discuss a briefing, a dataset, or a collaboration.
• You'd like to syndicate or quote our work at length.

Corrections#

We correct errors in place and note what changed at the foot of the affected article. Accuracy matters more to us than looking infallible, so tell us when we get it wrong.

A note on tips#

We are happy to receive story tips, but we cannot offer confidentiality guarantees over ordinary email. Do not send anything sensitive without arranging a secure channel first.
